MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS


Operations
• Responsibility for the establishment and adherence to IntelligentMDx financial policies and procedures.
• Oversee internal financial operations, including the accounting and budgeting function, risk management control systems and other related processes
• Manage the company’s banking and legal requirements
• Drive the annual budgeting process
• Furnish internal reports and update reports to be more useful and efficient, and furnish external reports as necessary.
• Direct the annual financial statement audit
• Responsible for corporate governance issues, including tax filings and planning, and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes
• Maintain the company’s capitalization table and underlying equity and debt documents.

Accounting
• Maintain the general accounting system
• Manage the Accounts Payable function (e.g. create POs, enter invoices, perform vendor account reconciliations, process payments, etc.)
• Manage the Accounts Receivable function (e.g. collections, cash deposits, etc.)
• Manage the month-end close
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and P&L variance analysis
• Prepare monthly financial report package and ad hoc reports as requested
• Manage vendor relationships
• Ensure that the Company’s controls and procedures are enforced
• Assist Finance with various projects as assigned


Financial Planning
• Prepare and maintain the company’s financial forecasting and simulation modeling tools
• Produce all due diligence materials necessary to support fundraising efforts
• Assist in benchmarking and modeling potential deal structures
• Perform financial planning and analysis as requested
• Actively participate in strategic and operational discussions


JOB QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

• 5-10 years in an emerging growth company, preferably in the life sciences industry.
• CPA
• Able to prioritize, direct and manage a large number of activities.
• Familiarity in contract drafting, review, and management.
• Familiarity in negotiating licensing, royalty, and co-development deals with life sciences partners
• Knowledge of Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is essential.
• Have an entrepreneurial spirit, prepared to take calculated risks in pursuit of goals.
• Be comfortable in a fast paced growth environment with an appropriate balance of urgency and quality.
• Be pragmatic, a realist with your feet firmly on the ground to ensure the company's objectives are met within budget and on time.
