DAVOS, SWITZERLAND — January 27, 2007. Alice Jacobs, Founder, Chairman and CEO of IntelligentMD, participated on a panel at the World Economic Forum’s Health Governors meeting. The panel was entitled, “Moving Past Reaction to Preparedness; Humanitarian Relief Initiative of the World Economic Forum.” The panel included the CEO’s of some of the healthcare industries largest companies including, David Brennan, AstraZeneca, Richard Clark, Merck & Co., Daniel Vasella, Novartis. Other participants included Arthur Collins, Chairman of Medtronics, Henry McKinnell Jr., Chairman of Pfizer, and Werner Wenning, Chairman of the Board of Management at Bayer.
The panel focused on issues brought to light in the wake of the Southeast Asia Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina and the increased interest of the private sector to support humanitarian relief efforts worldwide. Panelists discussed the need for a greater lever of trust and more defined terms for engagement between the public and private sectors.
