CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS — February 2, 2008. IntelligentMDx announced Mark Nadel, Ph.D., as Director of Bioinformatics and Software Development. Following his graduate studies, Dr. Nadel rose to the rank of Professor of Mathematics at the University of Notre Dame, where he assembled one of the foremost groups of model theorists in the world. During that period he also held positions at Caltech, the Institute for Advanced Study, Stanford and Carnegie-Mellon, among others, as well as in Israel and Canada.
In 2000 Dr. Nadel entered the field of bioinformatics at Genome Therapeutics. Most recently, he was a computational biologist at the Broad Institute and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute after serving as Director of Informatics at US Genomics, where he was instrumental in securing their government supported program in bio-defense. Dr. Nadel has published more than forty papers in mathematics, computer science and biotechnology.
Dr. Nadel received his B.S. in Mathematics from Brooklyn College, CUNY and his doctorate in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin.
